Angiomas are benign skin tumors caused by overgrowth of blood vessels that appear as red dots or papules. Angiomas usually do not need to be treated unless they cause discomfort, bleeding or are cosmetically bothersome. In such cases, there are various treatment options.
Electric needle therapy is an effective and fast way to treat small angiomas. Laser treatment, including PDL, can effectively eliminate the blood vessels, causing the angioma to fade or disappear. Cryotherapy, which involves freezing the angioma with liquid nitrogen, is another option. Surgical excision may be recommended for larger angiomas.
The choice of treatment depends on the size, location and characteristics of the angioma.
It is advisable to consult a dermatologist in order to determine the most suitable treatment approach for an angioma.
